Guan Ding 關定 is a fictional character, presumably created by Luo Guanzhong, who appears in Romance of the Three Kingdoms as Guan Ping's father.
Biography[]
When Shu-Han general Guan Yu came to stay at his lodge, Guan Yu met Guan Ping. When Liu Bei and Zhang Fei came to meet Guan Yu, Guan Ding offered his son to Guan Yu saying, “I have been thinking of sending the younger in your train, General, would you take him?” and mentioned both he and Guan Yu had the same surnames (Guan 關).
