Li Su 李肅 was a military officer who first served Dong Zhuo, then Lü Bu. He was executed by the latter after a failure to defeat Niu Fu's forces.
Biography[]
Li Su hailed from Wuyuan commandery. He served as Commandant of Cavalry 騎都尉 by 192. He was involved with Lü Bu and Wang Yun's plan to kill Dong Zhuo, and he was tasked with leading over ten personal troops of Lü Bu under the pretense that they were protecting the palace gates for the sick Emperor Xian. When Dong Zhuo arrived, Li Su and his men attacked him, and soon, Lü Bu finished him off.[1] After Dong Zhuo's death, Lü Bu sent Li Su to attack Niu Fu at Shan, but Li Su was defeated and fled to Hongnong commandery. Lü Bu had Li Su executed for his failure.[2]
