Zhong Hui 鍾會 was a military general during the Three Kingdoms period. Zhong Hui was the son of the famous Wei calligrapher Zhong Yao.

Biography[]

Zhong Hui was appointed with another Wei general Deng Ai to take over the Shu capital Chengdu. Zhong Hui always thought he was better skilled then Deng Ai which made them dislike each other. After Shu surrendered to Cao Wei (A.D. 263), Zhong Hui befriended Jiang Wei to plot a rebel against Deng Ai, however their plot leaked and soon then Zhong Hui, Deng Ai and Jiang Wei were killed in battle.
