Zhou Jing 周景 was the grandfather of Zhou Yu's 周瑜 cousin.
Biography[]
When he was young, Zhou Jing was praised for his incorruptibility and capability, and because of his scholarly pursuits he was observed as Filially Pious and Incorrupt, and recruited by the government.
He was later appointed Inspector of Yu province, in that capacity he recruited Chen Fan 陳蕃 of Runan 汝南 commandery to be his Aide-de-Camp, and, in his capacity as Inspector, he appointed Li Ying 李膺, Xun Gun 荀緄, and Du Mi 杜密 of Yingchuan 潁川 commandery and Zhu Wan 朱寓 of Pei state 沛國 as Assistant Officers; all were brilliant scholars from throughout the empire.
He was later moved to be Director of the Imperial Secretariat and then later elevated to the rank of Grand Commandant.[1]
